Let me firstly use this medium to appreciate Team Ivar K. Jones and Team James Emmanuel Nuquay for attending our well-organized debate last night in Dolo Town. Without your cooperation, the debate wouldn’t have been successful. – William Decent-Toe
The debate which was conducted last night in Dolo Town, Margibi Country, was mainly intended to convince the electorates to side with your arguments proffered as a debater.
In such a debate, the public becomes the judge and not especially a team of judges or moderators at the high- table. I’ve followed several debates both on the national and international levels and haven’t encountered such. That’s why we didn’t announce a winner, Decent-Toe added.
Chief Moderator, Williams Decent-Toe told the public in general that their roles in the just-ended debate were to basically create the platform for the debaters to sell their candidates and convince the audience over; as well make sure the debaters are protected to proffer their arguments.
To the issues arising from last night’s Intellectual Forum, the two teams and the public can admit that we ( moderators ) classified and qualified the audience as the judge as done the world over, he said.
Decent-Toe however, noted that there was no time that his team of moderators declared any winner in the debate last night.
The audience is our witness !!!
He also urges both parties and their followers to look forward to the next debate which has been requested by the Intellectual Teams of Sen. Oscar A. Cooper and EFFL ‘s CIC Hon. Emmanuel Gonquoi.
Additionally, the Independent Intellectual Forum appreciated the overall hundreds of Margibians who turned out for the debate, the security personnel, the Media represented by Nuitah T. Womgbah of Stone FM, and AbrahamTaries Howison Woah of Peace FM, the Dolo Town Administration, Guest Moderator Enoch Godson Brooks, sponsors, and amongst others.
Your independent observation is needed to better such an event for our county and people.
Thanks to both parties and their followers and we look forward to the next debate which has been requested by the Intellectual Teams of Sen. Oscar A. Cooper and EFFL ‘s CIC Hon. Emmanuel Gonquoi; Decent concluded.
