President George Weah has again renewed the hope of his people saying “He Will remain their Gbekugbeh to develop Liberia. Speaking in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County in continuation of the citizen’s engagement County tour, the Liberian leader assured the people of Grand Cape Mount County that he will develop the road from Madina to the County’s Capital.
Though he frowned at the delay in developing the County after several years even though they have smart, intelligent, and educated people, he encouraged them to join him collectively in order to help move the County and Country forward. Liberia he further indicated belongs to all Liberians as such it is key that they all work together to help develop it.
He said it is time that Lawmakers in Grand Cape and Liberia, in general, leave the two many bureaucracies and change their ways in order for the people to benefit from their leadership. “We are willing to work with you so join me let’s develop Liberia together”, he re-assured Cape-Mountainians.
Responding also to some of the needs of the people, the Liberian leader promised to construct a resource center for the young people including the disabled community, the provision of laboratory for Science students of the technical college, the upgrading of the school system in the County in close collaboration with the education ministry, women empowerment through the loan as well as the construction of the Pro-Poor Housing Units and many others.
According to him if they should succeed on all of their development initiatives, they will need more time making reference to the pending 2023 elections. He at the same time urged the people of Grand Cape Mount County to take care of each other stating that it is key for them to join him in order to solve Grand Cape Mount County’s problems. Meanwhile, his visit to the County was overwhelming welcomed by the citizens of Grand Cape Mount County as he received gifts from the people as their way of appreciating him for his many developmental initiates in their County.
