LFA Presents Gift To Two Football Hierarchies; FIFA, CAF Presidents & Delegation End Visit To Liberia. The President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Gianni Infantino and The President of Confederation of African Football (CAF)  Dr. Patrice Motsepe and full deletion have ended a one-day visit to Liberia.
At a news conference on Tuesday May 5, 2021 in Sinkor to mark the end of their visit to Liberia, President Infantino thanked Liberia’s Chief Patron of Sports: George Weah and the local football house leadership for the hospitality rendered them during their brief still in Liberia.
He said working together with one goal is key and will help in improving the game as well as its infrastructure development in the Country.

The FIFA boss pledged his willingness and support to Liberia and noted that he has already begun talks with President Weah in a drive to further develop the necessary infrastructure in Liberia.
“We have already started talking and there are more technical and other things to be discussed going forward but I can assure you that we will get there soon”, he added.
Mr. Infantino at the same time thank the President of the Liberia Football Association Mustapha Raji and his leadership team for their ongoing gradual improvement in football development in Liberia but was also quick to emphasize the need for them to do more work in order for them to achieve more.

He said Liberia has great potential and if well maximized, the Country can produce more George Weah.
Buttressing his statement was the President of CAF Dr. Patrice Motsepe who emphasized the need for corporate partnership and support to the game on the Continent of Africa.
According to him with the already bright and future talents in Liberia and the Continent, tangible investment including valuable competition will go a long way in the sector.

He also lauded the effort of the local football house in Liberia for their great done job thus far and encouraged them to work harder and seek for bigger opportunities for the betterment of the game in Liberia.
“I want to see more support to the game, I want to see Liberia participate in the Nation’s Cup and the World Cup and this can Only happen especially with hard work, support and passion”, he further pointed out.
In brief and separate remarks, Youth and Sports Minister Dee Zeogar Wilson commended the two Presidents’ visit to Liberia.

According to him, the visit is a historic one and has open a new hope and prospect for the development of the sector in Liberia. He stressed that the government remains committed to working with the LFA in order to develop the game in Liberia.
As for Mustapha Raji, President of the LFA, he pledged his unending desire and passion to the development of Football in Liberia. “I will use football money on football”, he re-echoed.
Mr. Raji used the occasion to urged his colleagues and stakeholders to join forces together in other to help improve the game and promote the talents in Liberia.

Meanwhile, the high power FIFA and CAF  delegation visit to Liberia comprise the courtesy visit to the Chief patron of Sports; President George Weah, the tour of the ongoing headquarters project of the Liberia Football Association as well as a tour of the nation’s premier Stadium, the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex including the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in central Monrovia.
The historic visit also ended with the presentation of the Red, White, and Blue Outfit (The Lonestar Jersey) to President Infantino, President Motsepe, and Mrs. Motsepe as their way of appreciating them for their level of support to the game in Liberia with a motivational hope for doing more for Liberia.
Meanwhile, President Infantino promises to pay a future visit to Liberia as part of his plans to help develop the game in the Country.
