Liberia National Police releases statement on the late Emmanuel Cooper’s death

The Liberia National Police informs the public that there was a tragic motorbike accident along the Tubman Boulevard, 15th Street, Sinkor, opposite Naresh Brothers Store on the 25th of April, 2022, involving two motorcyclists.

As a result of the accident, the two motorcyclists sustained multiple injuries and were immediately rushed to the John F. Kennedy Medical Hospital where an unidentified male motorcyclist was pronounced dead by a medical doctor on call, while the other motorcyclist identified as Emmanuel Sheriff is currently admitted and still undergoing treatment.

On May 2, 2022, family members of the deceased motorcyclist, after days of searching for their missing relative, visited the JFK hospital where it was confirmed that their missing relative, Emmanuel Cooper was taken there for treatment and subsequently pronounced dead after a tragic motorbike accident.

The other operator, Emmanuel Sheriff is currently admitted at the JFK hospital undergoing medical treatment while the body of the late Emmanuel Cooper is currently deposited at the JFK Morgue for preservation.

It important to note that information that is being widely circulated that the late Emmanuel Cooper was murdered is false and misleading.

The LNP warns those in the constant habit of spreading misinformation on ongoing investigations to desist and remain civil in sharing accurate information that will protect the peace and stability of the state.
