Weah has relieved Eugene Fahngon, Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs of his post. An Executive Mansion Release issue late Wednesday indicated that Mr. Fahngon’s removal is a result of spreading false information regarding the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic which is currently ravaging the country. The release said that the Liberian Leader has warned that he will not hesitate to take similar action against any other official of his government engaged in activities that undermine established government policy.
