PYJ to recommend to plenary that Senators be identified with an ID card and tags on public events with the president, for fear of being maltreated by reckless and untrained EPS officers,
A highly placed source in the office of Senator Prince Y. Johnson intimated to our Nimba county correspondent that Senator Johnson has expressed his dismay over the poor handling of the presidency (Protocol and security) by those managing it.
According to the Nimba county godfather and Chairperson on defense at the house of Senate, he became worried about his life after the trip to Tappita on Wednesday following an alleged reckless attack by an EPS officer who used invectives on him before recognizing his person.
Many of the recent recruits of the EPS(Cat Unit) don’t know their TOR. They are very reckless and misbehave on everyone including Senators and Top officials of government. When given the opportunity to speak in Tappita, the lawmaker frawned at president Weah for taking along with him machine guns, callabars, bazukas and other heavy guns to greet peaceful people whom he once visited to campaign empty handed with out a pistol. “Nimba people are peaceful people, we will not do anything to you Mr. President.. You are making our people afraid with all these guns” he said.
Senator Johnson also condemned the protocol for poor coordination of the trip.. According to Pepperbird NIMBA county reporter, the president protocol was relying on guess ( try and error) to make decisions, something that brought them to public redicule. It was also observed that the protocol is not even aware of the various Towns and cities prior to the president entry into them.. They are just going loosely our source lamented.
“With the current comportment and deportment of the presidential guard, it is highly recommended that they be trained inorder to get clue of the nature and scope of their operation” our source lamented.
What do you think about this folks? More details coming up..
