The Independent Probe Newspaper has reported that Former Foreign Minister Gbehzohngar Milton Findley, who recently suffered defeat in the December 8th Special Senatorial Election, has filed in papers for divorce with his wife of a little over 20 years.

According to court papers from the Civil Law Court, Sixth Judicial Circuit Montserrado County, the former Foreign Minister had filed an “Action of Divorce for Impartibility of Temper.”
In the Court’s Writ of Summons, which is in possession of this newspaper, Resident Circuit Judge Kennedy Peabody orders the sheriff to summon Mrs. Findley to appear before him and or file her “formal appearance and/or answer in my office on/or before the 25th day of January A.D. 2021.”
The Judge told the Sheriff that if she fails to appear, “judgement by default will be entered against her.”
Judge Peabody released the Summon on January 13, 2021 and Mrs. Findley is said to have acknowledged receipt of it on January 15, 2021.
The former Foreign Minister had filed a four-count action for divorce. In the counts, Mr. Findley accuses his wife of being temperamental, argumentative among others.
According to him, the alleged aggressive actions of wife came to head that in 2015, she threw his belongings into the streets, which made him to leave his matrimonial home.
According to latest reports, Mr. Findley’s estranged wife is said to have openly supported her husband’s main rival in the Senatorial election in which he was whipped by the lone female in the Liberian Senate, Senator Mrs. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence.
Former Foreign Minister Findley had run on the ticket of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and Senator Karnga-Lawrence ran on the largest opposition bloc’s ticket, Collaborating Political Party (CPP).
