Why is President George Weah is not at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly?

The report says President George Weah failed to implement the request and commitment he himself made at the UN GA Last year on the establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.
The footballing President told the World and General Assembly to help support him for the establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.

After he returned to the country from the UN General Assembly, President Weah was asked by journalists about his official position on the establishment of the courts, the Liberian former soccer icon and the musical leader said the courts’ establishment should be based on the will of the people, not his government’s will.
President Oppong also lamented that why others were there 12-years and people didn’t push for the courts to be established in Liberia. He noted further why are they pushing him on the court matter?
” I will not establish not a thing,” He said .

According to the report gathered so far, the UN said the musical President’s statement shows that he is not serious to do what he said at GA on the establishment of the courts in the Country but rather, his speech at the GA is a high level of deceit to the UN body. UN said Pastor Oppong is telling them at UN different things and He is doing and talking different at home.
The UN said hmm we will not give this regime any opportunity again at the GA since they want to fool us.
Currently, there 163 presidents and heads of state are in New York making the case of their country.
Liberia has no sanction imposed, President was elected democratically, Liberia is not at fight war, Liberia is stable, why do you think our President is not at the UN GA?

The General Assembly is the main deliberative, policymaking, and representative organ of the United Nations. Comprising all 193 Member States of the UN, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of international issues including peace and security.

  1. For me what his presence will do for or against Liberia? The UN is useless. 54 countries in Africa, no permanent seat on the security council. Over a billion people. For me Africa should leave these institutions. I don’t care about multilateralism. What good this do for us? To hell with that, is for the west with their fancy word. Cause he didn’t implement war criminal court or whatever the case is. How many African leaders there, that have carry out their mandates? Wattara is their, he changed his constitution to extend his term. Biya of Cameroon? How about the guy from egitoural guinea? These are puppet or dictator the west cherish in Africa. So leave weah alone, if want to go fine . I support him for not going.
